Wu Shi Bai Mi (五世百米|Wǔ Shì Bǎi Mǐ, Meter (in the fifth world)) is a Japanese and upcoming Mandarin vocalist for the DeepVocal engine.

History[]

Meter first debuted for the UTAU engine on a unknown date . His primary language is Chinese Mandarin, and his Japanese UTAU Voicebank is in the making.

On an unknown date, he was announced to have a Japanese vocal in production for the DeepVocal engine. As of the 22nd August 2019 (unconfirmed), Meter's DeepVocal Japanese voicebank has been released to the public for download.

He is to have a Mandarin voicebank soon.

Concept/Character[]

Meter is based off a Shiba Inu, a dog breed commonly found in Japan.

Meter likes to sing. He also likes to drink Oolong Tea and Milk Tea. He may occasionally end his sentences with "汪 (wang)", a sound that dogs make.

Etymology[]

His name is in Mandarin. When translated to English, "五世百米" means,

五 (Wǔ) - Five

世 (Shì) - World

百 (Bǎi) - Hundred

米 (Mǐ) - Meter/Rice

It means "the hundred meters of the fifth world". His official English name, "Meter (in the fifth world)", takes close resemblance to it as well.

Appearance[]

Meter is an anthropomorphic Shiba Inu. Meter's fur is light orange with a white underbelly. His attire is typically depicted as an casual grey hoodie with white accents and dark grey shorts, accompanied by a pair of orange headphones resting on his neck. He also wears typical canvas shoelace shoes. His eyes are sky blue.
