Novallus Moondancer (ノヴァッルス・ムーンダンサー) is a Japanese voicebank from StarRise Project that is managed by StarChaser-C, developed by Ryan-kun and voiced by Shuuroro.
History[]
Initially, Novallus Moondancer was introduced through the "#ReverseUTAU" tag on Twitter. This meme prompted UTAU users to redesign their UTAUs based on the inverse colors, and in this case, Novallus was the inverse of Seishi Starchaser.[1] The design was later repurposed as a new character concept entirely.
His design and personality was elaborated upon over time, and he was later illustrated by Jules-inwonderland and voiced by Shuuroro. Like Seishi before him, Novallus was made to be available for UTAU and DeepVocal. His voicebanks were developed by Ryan-kun.
Novallus's first demo was released on August 16, 2020. Novallus was officially released on January 1, 2021.[2]
Character[]
Novallus Moondancer is considered to be the "anti-self" of Seishi Starchaser. According to the official webpage, he "quickly manifested in a way to steal your heart and free your souls". Novallus refers to himself as "Seishi's Shadow", a manifestation of twisted desires, true feelings around friends, and raw emotions. However, Seishi refuses acknowledgement of these statements due to his oblivious nature.

Appearance[]
Novallus was designed to be the inverse of Seishi Starchaser, therefore, his short hair is black with a blond streak on the left side of his bangs instead of white and blue. His eyes are also heterochromic: a yellow left eye and a green right eye. He wears a red top covered by a black jacket with silver studded shoulder pads and a button collar. He has long black pants with a single white stripe running along the sides of his legs. His shoes are red.

- Seishi Starchaser: Novallus's originator. Novallus calls himself Seishi's 'Shadow' and has a deep hatred for his counterpart. They are seen as reluctant enemies, although one-sided from Novallus. Despite their negative relationship, they may still be seen sleeping next to each other.
